About
Zolid is indicated as an adjunct to prescribed diet for the management of blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are inadequately controlled by diet alone.

When not to Use
Patients who are hypersensitive to zolid or to any ingredient in the formulation or component of the container. • It is contraindicated in patients with diabetic ketoacidosis. • It is also contraindicated in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, colonic ulceration, partial intestinal obstruction or in patients predisposed to intestinal obstruction.
Precaution
It delays glucose absorption and lowers hyperglycemia following meals. Regular intake of zolid should not be interrupted without the physician's knowledge, since such interruption can cause a rise in blood glucose.
