TRAMAL SR 100MG 10S

Tramal SR (Sustained Release) is a prescription opioid analgesic containing Tramadol Hydrochloride, used to treat moderate to severe, long-term pain. It works by altering brain pain signals, typically prescribed as 100mg-200mg twice daily for sustained, 12-hour relief.

Common side effects include nausea, dizziness, sedation, and constipation.

Important Information Usage: Used for consistent, long-term pain management; not for "as-needed" (PRN) pain.

Dosage:

Adults (12+ years) usually start with 100mg twice daily, typically every 12 hours.

Maximum Dose: Generally 400mg per day. 

Safety Restrictions: Do not use if you have a history of severe opioid addiction, severe kidney/liver disease, or are taking certain medications.

Common Side Effects: Fatigue, headaches, vomiting, sweating, and dry mouth.

Common Uses

Tramal SR is primarily used to manage severe pain that cannot be treated by other options, particularly chronic pain conditions such as arthritis or persistent post-surgical pain. 

Warnings Seizures: Can occur at recommended doses, with higher risks at higher doses.

Dependence: Has the potential for dependence or addiction.

Sudden Cessation: Should not be stopped suddenly; gradual reduction is required to avoid withdrawal.
