NICORIL 10MG TAB - 10S

Nicoril 10 mg tablets (manufactured by Ferozsons Laboratories) contain Nicorandil and are used to treat chronic, stable angina pectoris.

As a potassium channel activator and nitrate derivative, it acts as a vasodilator, widening blood vessels to increase oxygen supply to the heart, reducing chest pain. 

Key Information & Dosage

Active Ingredient: Nicorandil 10 mg.

Indication: Prevention and long-term treatment of chronic stable angina.

Dosage: Typically taken twice a day, usually in the morning and evening, swallowed whole with water.

Initiation: A lower starting dose of 5 mg twice daily may be used if the patient is prone to headaches.

Administration: Can be taken independently of food intake.

Important Considerations & Side Effects

Common Side Effects: Headaches (especially in the first few days), dizziness, palpitations, and flushing.

Contraindications: Do not take if you have severe hypotension (low blood pressure), cardiogenic shock, or fluid in the lungs.
