- Onychonil is a dermatologically tested medicated nail paint for various fungal infections of nails such as onychomycosis and Tinea unguium.
- Onychomycosis is a fungal infection caused by yeasts or moulds that separates the nail from nail bed and causes discoloration and thickening of the nail. It is composed of urea, piroctone olamine, and salicylic acid.
- Each of its key ingredients plays an important role in treating fungal infection, urea in this nail paint retains moisture, piroctone olamine is an antifungal compound that eliminates fungus, and salicylic acid aids in debridement of nail.
