Paracetamol 500 mg tablet is a p-aminophenol derivative that exhibits analgesic and antipyretic activity by central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. Unlike non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), paracetamol has minimal effect in relieving inflammation.
